Q: How do I book my Function at The Mount Lawley Bowling Club?

A: Booking your event at The Mount Lawley Bowling Club is an easy process. Simply get in touch with us to notify us of your function details and room requirements and we will finalise all the details in the form of a booking agreement. Once the agreement is signed, a deposit is required along with the completed booking form to secure the booking. There are different deposit requirements depending on the event so please refer to your proposal.

Q: Do we accept bookings for 18th/21st birthday parties?

A: No, we do not cater for these two age groups.

Q: When do you need final numbers and dietary requirements?

A: Final numbers and drink selections must be finalised two weeks before the event.

Q: What payment options are there at Mount Lawley Bowling Club?

A: Cash, Cheque, Direct Credit, Eftpos, Visa, & MasterCard.

Q: When is final payment due?

A: Final payment is required two weeks prior to your function.

Q: Can we bring our own beverages?

A: No. Under the terms of our liquor licence BYO of any beverages is prohibited. We reserve the right to remove any beverages not provided by the Club and your Bond may be forfeited.

Q: Are outside catering services permitted at Mount Lawley Bowling Club?

A: This is possible. All beverages must be supplied through Mount Lawley Bowling Club.

Q: What’s the parking situation?

A: There is limited free off-street parking there are ample parking spaces available roadside.

Q: Is it possible for me to bring in my own decorations, mike & amplifier for the function?

A: Yes, no problem. You are welcome to decorate the area to your theme and use your own equipment. Tea Lights are allowed provided they are in an enclosed container. No sprinkles please, $200 cleaning fee to be added to the costs if they are to be used. We have a sound system and microphone if you need to hire any extra equipment. Any decorations must be removed after the function has concluded.

Q: Is the venue wheelchair accessible?

A: Yes, The Mount Lawley Bowling Club is a wheelchair-friendly venue.

Q: Do you offer discounts during certain times of the year?

A: Yes, the low season is the time to save money on your function, June July and August have a 10% saving on high season prices.

Q: Can I make a tentative booking?

A: You can make a tentative booking for your preferred date and we will hold this for you for up to 5 days. The Mount Lawley Bowling Club reserves the right to take a confirmed booking over any tentative booking but we will try to let you know and give you first option to confirm wherever possible.

Q: Do I need to make an appointment to come and have a look at the venue?

A: Yes please. That way we are able to dedicate our time to you to answer any questions, show you the venue, go through available dates and talk about menus.

FUNCTIONS WITH BOWLS:

Q: We have never bowled before do we get instruction?

A: Yes, a bowls coach gets you started and is around to help if needed.

Q: What happens if it rains?

A: Our green drains quickly after rain therefore it is usually fine to play on. If it is raining then it is up to you if you play or not, unless we deem that it is unsafe to you or the green.

Q: Are children allowed?

A: Children under 12 years of age are not permitted on the Greens. We are fully licensed venue. Guests under 18 years of age must be accompanied by a parent and supervised at all times.

Q: Is food available?

A: We have several catering options. There are also BBQ facilities available for hire.

Q: Can I smoke and drink on the green?

A: Smoking and drinking is NOT permitted on the greens.

Q: Is BYO alcohol allowed?

A: BYO alcohol is prohibited

Q: How much time does it all take?

A: It depends. From our experience the following seems true;

Bowling only – about 3 hours (arrive 30 mins before your session, bowl for 2 hours, last drinks & boasting, then move on)

Bowling & Food (small groups) about 4 hours (same as above with an hour to eat)

Bowling & Food (large groups) about 5 hours (same as above with an hour to eat plus extra

Q: Can we hang around after our bowling session?

During our peak season the Club gets crowded, so we may not be able to accommodate you. We try to agree on arrival & departure times when we confirm your booking.

Q: What if the tab at the bar finishes for my event/group, can I stay and keep drinking?

A: As the Club practices the Responsible Service of Alcohol it all depends. Generally when the bar tab finishes so does service.
